MIT Political Science

This project illustrates the depth and diversity of faculty within the Political Science Department at MIT. The assignment entailed photographing all existing faculty as well as all incoming faculty on an ongoing basis. This required maintaining a high degree of visual continuity among all portraits over an undetermined period of time. The lobby of the MIT Porter Center for Management Education--know internally as E-62—was the ideal space because it offered background consistency while also providing a degree of variation, the result being evocative backgrounds that were similar but not identical.
